Xref hatches turn solid black

Hello,
I've encountered this problem multiple times during a couple of years. I have an xref that is attached to multiple drawings, and on all of them the hatch patterns from the main xref turned black and solid.

But on the main xref file it shows that the hatch is normal:

on the main file there are some hatches that are put in to blocks.

The thing is yeasterday everything was normal and the catches showed correctly, but today these hatches appear solid balck, even my colegues encounter the same problem, and yesterday it was fine. The only thing that works is to turn off that xref layer or to delete the hatch on the main file.

How to solve this problem? in this building theres a lot of floors and it would take a long time to delete every single hatch..

Hatches don't change all by themselves sadly. Can you replace/change it back?

OR... did you turn on XREFOVERIDE by chance? You or your colleague may have done so.

By chance are you fighting your own VISRETAIN settings in the top file by chance?

Did you restart your PC yet? Always worth trying again if it worked yesterday.

Next steps will like be the need to share DWG files here.

could you share a sample where you have drawing with a hatch pattern and then that dwg is xref'd into another dwg that now changes the hatch to solid?

Setting XREFOVERRIDE to zero seemed to work. Thank you
