xref command not working

Xref command does not work, I get nothing on the screen or the command line. I can't open the xref dialogue box from the panel buttons and the 'externalreferences' command command does not work.

I have not changed anything on my system, it was working fine last week. It's as if the entire external reference function has disappeared.

I'd greatly appreciate some help on this, much work to get on with.

Regards

Simon

Did you try to reset your AutoCAD to defaults,

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to...

It could be a profile specific issue. Can you try creating a new windows user profile and see if that can be replicated.

Hope that helps.

Did you use multiple monitors last week or the last time it works?

I think the XREF palette shows on the other monitor, which doesn't exist right now. Try to plug the second monitor then try it again.

I just upgraded from windows 7 to windows 10 and now when using AutoCAD LT 2011 I type "xref" into the command line and nothing happens?

Is the command pop-up just off-screen perhaps? There is lots of info on the web on how to move pop-ups back to the middle of the screen.

Note: if you did the in-place type OS upgrade you most likely need to reinstall LT2011 and ensure it is fully updated.

But... LT2011 is not supported in Win10 so while it works for many there might be a chance it is the problem, in which case Autodesk is never going to help.

I found it the command pop up was just off the screen.  Thank you
