XCLIPFRAME linetype

Is it possible to change the linetype for xclipframe? I need it to be dash-dot instead of continuous line. Now I need to hide the frame and draw a rectangle with the  dash-dot linetype. I was just wondering if it is possible to skip the extra step as our organisation uses it in all the drawings we make.

xclipframe only controls the visibility of the xclip. If you use xclip on a xref and then select the xref you can change the linetype in the properties toolpalette (you might need to alter the linetype scale depending on the scale of your drawing).
