Write block deletes hatch

I have used the write block command to create blocks with hatch before. When I tried to create blocks today using write block it has been deleting the hatch. Is there a solution to the problem?

Hi,

really? Command QSELECT doesn't offer HATCH to select?

Share a sample (.dwg) and we can take a look. Sourcefile and your new createt .dwg, if possible.

Hi,

I have created other blocks just now and it kept the hatch. not sure what
the issue was. I solved the problem by just using the BLOCK command first.
The hatch stayed this way. I used the WRITE BLOCK command after that and
the hatch stayed.

@kaige_naidooCYGKB is your hatch on a locked layer?
Try unlocking ALL layers, ALL of them, the just FREEZE the layers may not want to WBLOCK out and see if your problem goes away.

If you are selecting the objects manually, use a crossing-window instead of the non-crossing window for selection: perhaps your hatch extends beyond your regular selection method.

OR... just share your source DWG file here, we all use WBLOCK command all day long with no such issues.
