Hi,

Before I go ahead and leap into win 10 from win 7, will my AutoCAD 2012 LT run ok with this platform?

I have had no problems with it so far. BE AWARE though that LT2012 is no longer supported by Autodesk

The only niggle I have is maximised the title bar turns white and the text in the bar is also white, so I cannot see the name of the file I'm working on.

It works fine for most, fails miserably for some, and neither Autodesk nor Microsoft will support your combo.

Ask yourself though: do you really, REALLY, need Win10? What if other things fail, like your printer or plotter or other software, is that acceptable to you as well?

Personally, I wouldn't update to Winbloze 10 until they stop support for Win 7 (or we get a port to Linux).

10 (and presumeably) on into the future Win updates on it's own and there is no stopping it.

Win updates are a (primary?) cause of AutoCAD and other progs not working.  If your system is mission critical and it is working well now don't be in a hurry to update to  10.

Thank you pendean! Why fix what isn't broken!! I think Microsoft put this (win 10 ) out there to let us do their troubleshooting for them. And as you say, lack of either corporation lending support would be foolish 🙂 I'll use 10 on my little laptop so I can use voice commands with Cortana, but will leave the heavy lifting to a proven platform like Win 7, thanks again, LT
