Unable to double-click or edit text in AutoCAD Lt 2023

Hi all,

Hope someone can help.

I'm unable to double-click or edit text in AutoCAD Lt 2023.

Seems to only be affecting single line text not Mtext. I open a drawing and initially I can edit all text, but once I start making changes to the drawing, saving those changes to the drawing I can't pick, select or edit the single line text. I have followed the recommended solutions from Autodesk, but they don't work. One thing I have noticed is if I close AutoCAD and open the following day the problem has gone, until I start making changes again. Is there an update or fix available.

Thanks,

Peter.

I only have LT2016 here so cannot fully help.

A couple of things to try though.

1. AUDIT the drawing and say yes to fix any errors

2. Open a completely blank drawing and put some single line text in there. And then do the process which gets you to not being able to edit text. Does it still happen?

3. Open your template and try a similar process to number 2.

What recommendations did you follow please? We can't see what you tried.
Do you need to reset PICKFIRST variable to the default of 1 by chance when it happens again?

What does LT2023's ABOUT command show as your exact update version?
and what is your OS please?

HI there,
Thank you for your help, apologies for the delay in my response, I was away from the office.
I did try the recommendations suggested,

* carried out the audit, did not resolve the issue.
* Opened a blank drawing , tried to get the error to happen but the text did not become unpickable in the blank drawing.
* I did create a new drawing and copied and the drawing into it, initially it worked but then the suspect text became unpickable again.
* I did try the pick first command toggling from 0 to 1, 1 to 0, nothing changed.
Re the pictures below:
Pickable text below, in the layout view, I can run the pick box over the text and the text is highlighted, also the cross hairs are still visible outside the drawing sheet. However, the text did become unpickable once I had made some changes to the drawing.

Un-pickable text below, all the text in view is unpickable, in the layout view, I can run the pick box over the text and the text is not highlighted, also the cross hairs disappear as I run it over the border of the drawing sheet, and it completely disappears once outside the sheet.
