Unable to delete layers imported from Mircostation

Greetings:

I have several layers (2 through 63 imported from Microstation) that I am unable to delete.  I hide and froze these layers but nothing seems to be missing or disappearing from my drawing.  Yet when I delete them, I receive below message even though they are not 0, defpoints and current.  Purge all has no effects on these layers as well.  Is there a way to query or find out what entities or objects there are on these layers?

Thanks in advance for your time and help.

Upload a file with that layer (which name for example?), we will check it and explain it later.

You could layer merge those layers to layer 0 or another layer and that would get rid of them. If any objects are on those layers somewhere it will just move them to layer 0 or whatever layer you pick to merge too.

Quickest way to find out if there is anything on one of those layers would be to use the QSELECT command. Leave the object type as mutiple, property as layer, operator as equals, then pick a layer name. If that don't find anything, then you may have to start digging into blocks.

Thank you for the great tip.

This solves my problem.  There are objects buried underneath each other, no wonder I am unable to find them.

Thanks for the great tip.

This will be an alternate solution should I still unable to find anything with Qselect.

Thank you for the suggestion to upload the file.

I will keep this in mind should I run into similar situation in the future where Qselect and merge layer have no effect.
