Two Window Buttons

Hi

I have two window buttons when I select window to print a selected area to print.

What I usually do to print is:

Select Print Button

Plot - Model Page appears

In the Plot Area - What to Plot: In the drop down box it has Display

I select the drop down box and Select Window

The Plot - Model Page disappears, and I can select the are I want to print.

But now when I Select the Window the Plot - Model Page does not disappear and I cannot

select the area I want to print.

Please find attached a picture which shows the Plot - Model Page with the two Window Buttons showing.

Can you please tell me how to get rid off this button so I can print the selected area I want to print. Two Window Buttons.JPG

When the Window mode is selected in the plot area it will show the below 'Window' button. You need to pick this to define the printable area in the model.

To remove this button, you need to select a different plot method.

Does the same process happen if you pick Display or Limits in the What to plot drop down menu option?

Hi Jonathan

On another one of my CAD maps I select the Window button in the Plot area and the Plot Model screen disappears so I can select

part of the cad map I want to print.

When I have selected the area I wish to print the Plot - Model screen re-appears and I select OK to print.

But on the other map when I select the Window Button in the Plot- area another Window Button appears I then have to select this button which then makes the Plot -Model screen disappears and I can select the area I wish to print.

What I don't understand is how on one map I only have to select the Window button once and on the other map I have to select the window button twice.   Very confusing hope this makes sense as it does not to me?  Any help on this would be much appreciated.

Kind Regards Michelle

Hi Sarah

Thanks for your reply, the only button that appears is the window button, if I select Limits or Extents the second button does not appear.

On another cad map I select the Window button and the button does not appear, the Plot - Model screen disappears and I can then select the area I wish to print.  The Plot - Model screen then re-appears and then there are Two Window Buttons, but I select the OK Button to print the area I have selected.

On the other cad map I select the Window button and the second window button appears, the Plot - Model screen does not disappear unless I select the second Window button which then makes the Plot - Model screen disappear, I can then select the area I wish to print.

I don't understand how on one map I can select the window button once, but on the other map I have to select the window buttons twice, very confusing.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Kind regards Michelle

Show us screenshots of the "but on the other map..." issue please.

FYI, the 'screen disappearing", if I understood your unusual description correctly, only occurs if window was previously used (and saved) as a plot function in the file.

If you reset to defaults does this issue  still happen? (save a set of your settings as needed)
