Transparent solid color hatch to pdf with lines

Check through the Forum without any clearly solution, try to do color diagram with color hatch in CAD, failed to print hi-solution PDF thru all AutoCAD internal PDF drivers by showing clearly stripes in large area of transparent color hatch. Seems a tremedous technical BUG for Autodesk CAD comparing with ArchiCAD here in Europe.Or am I wrong?

Instead of solid hatch use a 2-colour gradient hatch

Hi @Anonymous,

I am not seeing this in AutoCADLT  2017.

I created my hatch using solid and three different transparencies. I then used the AutoCAD PDF (High Quality Print) driver with the settings below.

And, here is the result I have.

Hi John,

Hatching a square won't show the problem. The horizontal streaks appear when hatching an area with multiple vertices because they originate from them, so the more vertices in say the polyline being hatched the more streaks appear. They're easiest to see when zooming in the PDF.

Hi @Anonymous,

Yes, you are correct that extra vertices can cause this issue. Your solution is also a good one. I changed my solid to a gradient using two colors (the same one in this instance) and it plots fine.

Thanks for your contribution!

This was such a simple solution to a problem that's been bugging us here for a while now.  Thanks!
