text formatting in paper space is very slow

I've created about an A3 size worth of mtext in paper space of Autocad2020 LT and I keep having the issue where it takes a long time for me to format text in paper space as processing is very slow, only with text in paper space.  Can anyone help?

What do you mean by " format text in paper space" exactly? Be detailed and specific since that's not an AutoCAD function or command name.

when opening the created mtext box in paper space, to format the text, ie change text in various ways, processing of the command, ie cut, past text, type text in the mtext box, will be very slow, even resizing the text box, or panning/zooming, all functions to do with editing (formatting) the next box is painfully slow.  Please note I do not have the problem formatting text in the mtext box in model space, have this problem in all my files, guessing there is a setting I need to click on to rectify this.

Thanks for the detailed explanation: can you share screenshots of your pop-ups for ABOUT and GRAPHICSCONFIG command please?

Note: LT2020 is not new, so explain what else changed recently for you that this now happens in all files as well please. Be very detailed.

I know of no detail that I've changed.......I do tend to copy and paste text into the mtext in paper space from other files, some of which could be historic from the previous version and AutoCAD set-ups......may have invertible brought in another file setting, maybe.  Attached are screen shots.

Something changed in the 3+years, or you have suffered in silence for this whole time.
😉

BTW, your LT2020 is not updated or current: grab the latest LT2020.1.4 update for it from your Autodesk Account here https://manage.autodesk.com/cep/#products-services/updates

Restart your PC: see if that helps.

If not, share an actual DWG file with the problem: most everyone here still has LT2020 on their PCs. This will confirm or rule out LT2020 as being the problem.

Thanks for that........updated to the latest version, and the formatting of the mtext is fine now.  I should upgrade to 2022 version as I've paid for it!  I'd also assumed that updates for AutoCAD would be similar to those for Microsoft, ie automatic.

Thanks for that help, much appreciated, will look not to suffer in silence for so long next time😀

LT2022 has a 2022.1.1 update that will not self install either: so when you upgrade you'll need to do that as a separate task too.
