the blue line is what I am drawing. Instead of starting at 4' along the line, it jumps across the drawing, sometime not as far, never along the line.
I tried f3, no change. I dont know what q2 is..
This all started today.

Sorry to hear that you are having an issue like this. I also tried running the same workflow in AutoCAD LT 2016,2017 and I wasn't able to recreate the issue.
Is this happening with all files or only a specific few?

Excuse me, you replied "I figured it out." but you didn't give us the answer. I'm using AutoCAD LT 2019 and I can't figure out where the offset starting point has gone.
Example: I draw a horizontal line 4' long. Then I hover over the endpoint and want to draw a vertical line 1' from the end. I used to be able to move to the right just a little and put in 1' or whatever the measurement is and the vertical line would start at that point.
How do you do this in AutoCAD LT 2019?
