Slow when plot previewing

Bought a new laptop with same specs as my last one which I have been using autocad lt on for the last 3years but this one is being very sluggish when doing a plot preview or changing to a different layout tab. It’s an i3 with 8gb ram which has done me fine previously with 2019 lt.

is there any settings I can change to make it run better or any other suggestions apart from going out and getting another laptop. The new one has 2020 Lt installed on it.

Intel i3 processors are low end for light duty work like word processing, and are not designed for CAD work, the system overall appears to meet the basic configuration and not the recommended option https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-lt/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Sys...
