Sheet List Tables

Am trying to customize a sheet list table for our company standards. 

is there a way to get rid of the "header" row by default? I tried to modify>delete - but the delete button is greyed out. 

Also, how do i set the width ofthe columns? currently, my columns default to 2 lines.

Hi gforsburg,

I usually try to build my Table Style before I create my sheet list. You can create a new Table Style by using the tablestyle command. To minimize the header row I remove the borders, set text and margins to 0. When I insert my table I unlock the Header cells and delete the text. (I know...not exactly what you are looking for but the best I came up with so far.)

As far as cell width you should be able to just grab the grips and drag where you want the edges to be.

I am going to keep looking for a better way to do it and will update my post.

Crazy question - how do you "unlock" the sheet style table?

Can you give me a better idea of what you are trying to do? Perhaps a sample sheet set and/or drawing attached to a post?

Trying to add a row.  Table says its locked and I don't know how to unlock it.

You can add rows to your Sheet List. Select the top left corner of the table (it will highlight the whole table).

Rt-click and go down to Rows and then Insert Above or Below.

I see. 

I figured out how to unlock the table by clicking the "Cell Locking" Button in the toolbar above.

Insert Row is still not available.

Any ideas?

Here you go. I did the steps and recorded them in another Screencast for you.

One way I have avoided doing this in the past is to create one extra drawing in my set. In that file I create a layout for each additional sheet name I want in my list. I then add those layouts to my sheetset so I can manage the sheet list easier.

Very helpful - but im unable to click the top left cell of my table the way you can.  I click the table, then click the top left cell and nothing happens. i click it again like you do and ACAD Command line tells me to specify opposite corner.

Very strange. It appears in your attached image that you have selected it.

What happens if you select the table and clear any overrides?

What specific version of AutoCAD LT are you using?

I see that there are proxy objects in the file. If you ExportToAutocAD does the resulting file show the same behavior?

Can you zoom in to the top left corner and prepare a Screencast for me?

Hi John, 

I'm having a similar, yet slightly different issue with the Sheet List Table feature.

I've created a Sheet List Table. I noticed it wasn't updating when I changed the name of a sheet. So I deleted the Table by simply erasing it. Unfortunately, now I can't insert a Sheet List Table again at all.

Is there a way to purge whatever past instance of the Sheet List Table may be nested so that I can try it again from scratch?

The only band-aid solution I've found so far, is to go to a different file to create a Sheet List Table, and then copy/paste it back over in my Cover Sheet layout. (but that creates an unlinked table)

Hi @Anonymous,

We worked on this issue offline for a bit.  It appears that the sheet that contained the sheet list had some sort of corruption.  I created a new drawing, imported the layout from the original file using DesignCenter.  I then added the sheet into the sheetlist, removed the original one and now the Sheet List drops right in as it should.
