Selection Off Screen Makes Blue Cross Selection, Select Anything

I noticed when using the blue or green selection box, it would not select anything that was not on my screen. I changed the "SELECTIONOFFSCREEN" from 0 to 1 which fixed the issue, however the blue selection box acts like the green selection box. The blue will select anything inside of it whether a polyline is fully in the box or only partly. The partly elements obviously should not be selected when using the blue option.

i did figure out a solution and it was to set the SELECTIONOFFSCREEN from 1 to 0 then back again to 1. Everything works fine  after that. I know it is a small issue however it is very annoying when you are working on several drawings.

I am using Autocad 2025 LT.

Have you downloaded and installed the 2025.1.1 update ?

@nathan3CKDB How do you select something with either window method when it is off-screen? I am trying to follow along.

This appears to have solved the issue. I did not know Autocad does not automatically update itself

I would start in the top left corn of mass of elements then at the bottom right I would zoom in 1000% so I can no longer see the mass of objects, then complete my selection.

Yep you need to select and install the updates on your own.
