Scale problem with DWG files exported by Fusion 360

Hello,

I am exporting a lot of DWG files from Fusion 360, then I am importing those files to AutoCAD LT and some of the DWG's has the scale problem. The dimensions are diffrent. For example, in Fusion 360, I've dimensioned the diameter which is 120mm. If I am measuring it in AutoCAD LT then it says the dimension is 240mm. I tried to scale down the drawing but then all exists dimension were also scaled down (from 120 to 60mm for example). What can I do with that issue?

Please check the attachment. The dimension "arrow" and "number" is also too small.

Thank You

That sounds like an export setting or issue from Fusion360, since AutoCAD/LT (as do most recipient programs) simply reads what is offered in the file when it opens it.

The Fusion360 forum is over here if you want to confirm your exporting methods and settings https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360/ct-p/1234

Is there any way to fix it in the AutoCAD? Maybe is there any option that will help?

Without access to your DWG and at least a PDF from the original in Fusion (I do not have Fusion360) that shows what the exact issues are, it is hard to tell.

Are you able to share actual files?

If the actual numbers change as well when you scale a dwg it sounds like a scale factor has been applied to the dimension style, you definitely need to check on the export options within fusion and probably the unit's settings in both programs.

Hello Steven-g

How can I check those options in AutoCAD LT and Fusion 360?

Post a dwg that shows this behaviour! there are so many things it could be and guessing at solutions doesn't help anyone.

Can I send the file via private message?

I don't think that option is available for private messages (attaching files), besides this is a public forum. I like most users check here when I have a free moment, private consultancy is a completely different matter. All you need to have in the dwg is a few items with a dimension that shows this behaviour, everything else can be deleted if it contains sensitive information.

If you wish to hire a private support consultant you can do so HERE

Smiley Wink Oh I'm more than happy taking on Consultancy work (I do regularly) just pointing out to the OP there is a way to do this without posting confidential drawing files, which is a lot cheaper.
