Quick dimension

I can only get quick dimension to work in model space. Is it only intended for model space or am I missing something?

qdim also works in paperspace, but only for geometry drawn in paper space.

so.. you cant measure modelspace objects with qdim from paperspace

Do you mean I can't DIMENSION modelspace objects with qdim from paperspace ?

QDIM requires object selection, not just "osnaps": that's why.

Since your question and subsequent answers are, well, shall we call them minimalist, I wonder if you are not aware than DIMCONTINUE command and that may e what you are really after.

Draw your first dimension in paperspace, then start DIMCONTINUE to draw a string of new dims that start ith the first one.
