Polar tracking not working on polar angles

Hi all,

I hope that someone will be able to help me solve a problem I have been having with a couple of different drawings which share no common xrefs or blocks etc.

when drawing a line or moving an object etc. I find I am only able to carry out that function provided that I do not use an ortho angle of any other defined polar tracking angle. 

For example, if I try to draw a line I can click to set the start point but on any defined polar angle the second point snaps to the origin of the line I am drawing.

For information Autocad Lt 2017 on Windows 10.

Your UCS and/or PLAN variables are rotated: set both to WORLD and see if the problems go away.

Thanks for the reply, but no both settings are correct.

For more information, the issue seems to appear all of a sudden with no explanation.

It certainly looks as though you are far enough away from the end's of the other lines, but it looks suspiciously like your aperture is too big, it can only be set up to a maximum of 50 pixels! Just check what value it is - type aperture and see what value Autocad returns, another check is set apbox=1 and then start the line command again, and it will show the aperture size.

Unfortunately, apbox is set to 1 and aperture is set to 5.

I think I have an idea and will update again later.

In the drafting settings, "snap and grid" tab, do you have a distance set for polar snaps ?
