I can plot to my HP T520 plotter from excel or word, but not from ACAD LT 2015. I get a message that plot is complete, but there seams to be no communication with the plotter. Any suggestions?

Are you using the correct page size?

Can you post a picture of your plot dialog box as well.

Did you remember to turn off background plotting and publishing in LT2015?
Are you plotting directly to the same exact System Driver that Excel and Word are, not using a PC3 file (that may be doing something else altogether)?
Can you PLOT from LT2015 to other devices and drivers?
Is this a new HP, or you install new drivers, or get a new PC, or upgrade Windows OS or something else you forgot to mention?
