plotter driver

My plotter (HP Designjet mono500) driver has turned up missing.  I downloaded the driver again from HP but don't know how to install.  I keep getting the msg. "printer driver was not installed"

Did you get a new PC? Did you install a new OS? was your PC being repaired? DId an update get installed? You move offices?
Are you having PC issues other than this?
Missing how and where exactly? Is the driver installed on your PC, or on a server?
What is your OS? What is your AutoCAD/LT year version?

Consider taking your PC to a repair shop if you do not have access to someone very knowledgeable with computer systems at your location.

Have you tried posting in the HP forums to see if any specialist from that organization might be able to provide a download?

Drivers don't just disappear: if you think it went 'poof" all on it's own you probably have a huge PC system problem that will eventually crash and burn the unit. That same problem is preventing you from installing a replacement driver.

So you tell us: what else might be going on with your PC?
What is your Windows version?
