Plotter delay

just upgraded from autocad lt 2016 to 2020, and am running an hp t520 plotter - there is now a 30-second delay before the plot begins - didn't happen before - any ideas?

I've only got LT2016, but is PLOT IN BACKGROUND checked? If it is uncheck it.See the image below.
