Hi I really hope you can help me!

I've been using the AutoCAD LT 2015 trial, I'm about half way trough my trial period but Ive been experienceing a strange problem where I can't actually open.

The "Your Autodesk Trial" box opend up but there are not graphic or links to actually start the trial session all I can do is exit and so AutoCAD wont run! This is really inconvenient right now. I was looking on the site and noticed that 2016 is now out so I downloaded that in case that is was just out of date and I'm having the same problem with this version as well. I should have plenty of days left before I need to activate so I don't why this is happening!

I really have a lot of work to do as well so this is happening at a really inconvenient time!

Please if anyone can offer any help, advise or solution.

Thanks

Charlotte

You cannot reset the trial clock, sorry. Your computer's time/date must have reset or been changed or just hiccupped. YOu will need to find a second PC to restart the trial.

Hi,

I don't need to restart the trial I have about 14 days left before it runs out. There are no options to do anything. see attached

Sadly, something changed on your PC to kill the pop-up since LT2016 is doing the same thing. See if running AutoCAD/LT "as administrator" helps, or look into Windows Restore to identify what was changed on the PC.

if this was a licensed version I'd recomend a reset of a reinstall: but that may truly kill your trial.

Can you attach a screenshot of the last dialog box you see when you're unable to continue.

*edit:  Nevermind, you already have

Maybe try temporarily disabling your AntiVirus / Firewall.  I haven't seen it recently, but that used to be the solution to blank activation screens.

I've tried that, and repairing the install. I tried resetting and restarting windows. I've tried installing and uninstalling windows updates and potentially conflicting programs that have been installed recently. Oh well I guess I'll just have to pay out sooner that I'd hoped, just hope that will fix the problem. Otherwise I may just give up and re-install windows. I've never had a problem like this before!

Hi @Anonymous!

We appreciate you working with the community to try and get this issue resolved but maybe we should try starting from the beginning! First uninstall any residual download / install files by completing a clean uninstall. Then please re-download your software following these steps:

  • In the preferences or options area of your preferred browser, remove pop-up blockers and allow access to all *autodesk.com sites.
  • In the preferences or options area of your preferred browser, delete cookies, temporary internet files, and history.
  • Turn off your personal firewall or VPN, if you use one.
  • Disable UAC
  • Close and reopen your preferred browser.
  • Re-download from the Virtual Agent

By design, you cannot run a trial twice on the same machine so we'll need to give you a temporary activation. When you reach the activation screen please send me send me a Private Message with your manually generated request code. Thank you!
