PDF created from Autocad LT 2020 Drawing _ Adobe Edit Error

Hi all

Recently updated to AutoCad LT 2020 and since then  when  "outputting" a Layout to PDF  now unable to Edit or digital sign it in Adobe.

Error massage come up in Adobe

" Adobe Acrobat has encountered an unknown error"

Any PDF's generated  from AutoCad LT 2019 were and can still Edit / digitally sign it.

Is there a new  security setting or something that is preventing  using some Adobe Tools.

Already spoke with Adobe and they say it is a AutoCad issue.

thanks Juls

Do you have the latest update 2020.1.2 installed, and if so does that fix your problem, part of that update fixes some issues with printing to PDF.

It appears from other similar posts that 2020.1.2 and Acrobat Pro do not play well together: use Adobe's PDF driver as an interim solution until Autodesk coughs up another update.

And report the problem to Autodesk here https://www.autodesk.com/company/contact-us/product-feedback

We are having the same issue in our office too (both AutoCAD and LT.) The current work around we are doing is to make a new PDF in our Adobe Acrobat Pro DC session of the error AutoCAD PDF file. After that our engineers can extract pages and apply digital signatures in the new PDF.  It is time consuming, but it works for us at least.

We also noticed the use of watermarks in Adobe was affected too. Anyone else?

Did submit the feedback  to Autodesk back in March 2019. Still waiting on the Update ("FIX") to come.

Once? if only one person does it, and only once, that doesn't exactly catch their attention much.
Keep at it, repeat, until a patch is released.

Note: no one from Autodesk will ever contact you if that was the expectation.

I did submit even before I posted our work around.

I did too: you're just going to have to wait for an update, or move on to LT2021 when it comes out this Spring if they fixed it there.
OR
Use a 3rd party PDF driver to create the PDF to edit in Acrobat. Lots of freebies out there.
OR
wait on Adobe to issue an update.
OR
Roll back to LT2019 which as a subscription user you are allowed to do legally.
OR
use a PDF editor not from Adobe (the most painful option).
