Pasting from Excel formatting

Hi

When I copy and paste a value from Excel, the AutoCAD make keeps the font and make it bold.

So every time I paste them, I have to right-click > Paste Special > and Paste without Character Formatting.

Is there a command such as CTRL+V+something?? that I can use to automatically paste without Character Formatiing.

I want the pasted text to match the other thickness, not bold like in the picture.

No, there is no other built-in option to do what you want between the two programs to skip that right-click.
There are WindowsOS add-ins that remove formatting from the clipboard if you want to experiment there, or transition through a 3rd app (like Windows Notepad) to remove formatting first.

Sometimes it's just quicker to type those few digits or numbers while in AutoCAD/LT: another option.

@masumiNYMDW What version of AutoCAD are you using?

If you set up a table style in AutoCAD with all the settings you want, you can use the PASTESPECMODE variable to paste the table into your drawing using the table style you set up. See the link and image below.

I think I set up table style and set the PASTESPECMODE at 1, but the pasted text in the mtext box retain the excel font and colours. I'm using AutoCAD LT 2025.

Any idea why it's not changing the text style??

See the image at the bottom of this post.

What you have posted is multiline text. To paste from excel just right click, choose "Paste Special" and then choose "Paste Without Any Formatting"

You can see I have pasted the text normally into your multiline text before I did the above.

You will also see I inserted a table and pasted the same text into the table and it has "forgotten" the excel formatting.
