Overlapping Object COUNT Error

Hi,

I have been trying to utilize the COUNT command for totaling equipment counts, but one of the blocks is having issues. I haven't been able to replicate or remove this issue in any way I have tried so far. Currently, I am at the point of deleting/joining/fixing broken lines in the block to ensure that is not the issue, because I cannot think of anything else to try. As long as there is one block, it counts correctly, with no error. As soon as there are any duplicates, it continues to register only one of the blocks and gives me the overlapping object count here. The block only contains lines, not nested blocks within.

Appreciate any tips that you can give me! Thanks,

Stephanie

Hi @stephanie.richardsA3BLS,

That does sound frustrating. Since the issue cannot be reproduced, are you able to provide the file, or the portion of the drawing that this is occurring in for members of the community to review and troubleshoot?

All the best,

I spent more time on it that I would have liked to, but I think I have at least figured out how I can resolve the issue. I have made other blocks in a similar fashion without issue. The only difference between those blocks and this one is that they were more uniform so I easily fixed some import issues (Joining, extending/trimming, deleting out unnecessary/overlapping details) that I did not do on this block. It appears that doing this is going to solve the issue, just surprised me that it would impact the block count. I attached the block I was working with, in case you see an issue I may have overlooked.

Thanks!

Stephanie

Thank you for the file, I agree, that is unusual. But I am glad that you were able to figure out a solution!
