Hello,

This is something I have never faced in the full version but one of our client facing this issue in AutoCAD LT whenever they reset the origin of ordinate dimension it works fine until save the drawing whenever we give save option then the origin point changes it is not working as expected. please find the attached video for further reference

It is working fine whenever we gave DIM-Continuous option but whenever we give the command Dimordinate it is not working.

Don't have any idea why this is hapenning.

Still We are working on the lastet updates 2019.1.2

Regards,

Boopathi

Ouch, I can confirm it for P.162.0.0 / 2019.1.2 LT
You should report the thread as a support case (if you are eligible)

Version 2024.1 and this is still a bug.  This is ridiculous!  I opened a support case for this same issue over a year ago, Autodesk was able to re-create the issue and agreed it was a bug.  Closed my case with a "change request" with no other follow up and yet this is still a bug all this time later???

I was able to work around the issue by using an older version of AutoCAD LT up until last week.  I no longer have access to the old version now and must contend with this issue in version 2024.  How has this issue been acceptable for all this time?  Ordinate dimensioning is unusable!

I would like some community feedback as to what everyone else been doing as a work around all this time?  From what I can tell, this has been a bug since version 2019.

Thanks,

Lee

Open another support case with Autodesk if you are on subscription to seek out Autodesk Support's help:

I have opened a new support case and referenced my old case.  Autodesk acknowledged that the bug still exists and has been difficult to fix.  Given that this has been an issue for several years now, I feel like there have to be many other users that have had to work around this issue.  I would expect this bug has a major impact for everyone that uses ordinate dimensioning.  I would sure like to get some recommended work arounds from those users!  Please?
