Options menu issues, choices not saving, custom paths not working

Just updated to 2024LT on my new laptop and for some reason when I changed options, like shift to copy or grips, they don't save when I close out... also when I add a custom application preference, say a path to a folder with all my plot styles, they do. not show up when I go to print...

Where exactly please? be detailed. We do this in our offices, seems to work 100% of the time all the time for all of us

"they don't show up" could also mean your DWG file is set to either CTB or STB and you don't see the other that you are used to seeing. Could that be the problem too?
