Non Autodesk drawing

My AutoCAD LT keeps flagging up that my drawings are non Autodesk drawings.  My licence is up to date so I don't know why this is and fear that my clients my think I have a rougue copy.  Why does AutoCAD do this and how can I correct it?

Welcome to the Forums

It happens because the original drawing was not created by AutoCAD.

It's not really a major problem.

If you want it to stop here's what you need to do. Start a new drawing in AutoCAD using one of the templates. Then open one of the affected drawings and copy EVERYTHING to the clipboard and then paste it into your new drawing, and save your new drawing.

Hi @Anonymous,

Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

Have you seen this article

To repair or return a DWG file to RealDWG format, use the RECOVER command on the file or resave it using the AECTOACAD command. AECTOACAD will save a new copy of the drawing and leave the original intact. "

hwalker suggestions works perfectly too.

Post back in the thread with any updates or questions.
