No grips in AutoCAD LT subscription to enable wall length editing, is it possible with LT or what subscription is required?

Hi to everyone, new to this community and would appreciate some guidance.

I have a subscription of AutoCAD LT and I receive files from different architecture firms which I typically review/edit to suggest changes.

When trying to edit walls in some of the files I do not get any control points to allow me to drag to reduce/increase/adapt  the length of a wall; I already tried the command GRIPS and set it to 2 but nothing happens, I researched and it seams like AutoCAD LT does not enable the grips for editing those type of drawing, is this correct?

If so I would appreciate if someone can point me in the right direction of what subscription I will need to help me reduce/increase/adapt as needed.

Walls? There is no such wall object type in plain AutoCAD or the lower cost LT version. You can look at them, you can erase then, you can copy them, or just mark them up (use your text/lines/plines to make comments, but not actually change anything).

If you have the need for editing those objects then you need to be using AutoCADARCHITECTURE version, here is the link for details on it, download the trial version and give it a test drive with your files to see if it does what you need https://www.autodesk.com/products/autocad/included-toolsets/autocad-architecture

I appreciate your help.

So AutoCAD is the only option? There is a huge jump in cost 4.6 times what I currently pay for a yearly subscription.

I am not necessarily doing full building models, just editing files here and there twice a month; is there a less expensive option that will enable me to edit those objects? Thanks for the guidance.

Correct, for only 4.5 times and cost of LT you get total access and use of 7+ unique custom variants of the AutoCAD software:

Plain AutoCAD (LT with total customization and so much more)

Architecture
MEP
Electrical
Map3D
Mechanical
Plant 3D
and the Raster-editing add-on
Raster Design

it's a pretty sweet deal: and no, before you ask, you don't have the option to only subscribe to one at a lower cost, it's an all or nothing package.

if this is a critical business need, can you not cover the cost with your fees for those projects?

Sadly no, there is no alternative if you need editing ability with those native objects in those files: LT and plain AutoCAD are best used or redlining/commenting/markups in those vertical files IMHO.
