Myriad Pro Font Not Displaying in Dimension Style - AutoCAD LT 2022

Hi,

I'm getting really frustrated with this issue, maybe someone can help.

Problem:

I've setup a dimension style that uses Myriad Pro font.  When I created, it was working fine, but now when I open the drawing in AutoCAD LT 2022 the text has 'disappeared', with just a little dot showing (see screenshots attached). I cannot figure out what is going on.

Some variables to consider:

  1. I work from 2 locations: Switch between using AutoCAD LT 2015 .. AND AutoCAD LT 2022, working on the same drawing - ie: So I set my AC LT 2022 to 'save as' an older dwg file by default (Saves as a 2013 dwg).
  2. I have no issues when working on the drawing in AC 2015 - The dimension style with myriad pro displays fine.
  3. I 'did' at some stage have this style working on AC LT 2022 too, but now cannot figure out what factor changed that means the Myriad Pro font will no longer display when opening it in AC LT 2022.
  4. I DO have Myriad Pro installed as a font on my PC (I even tried re-installing a few times to rule this out, but don't think this was ever the real issue). I'm using Windows OS 11.
  5. There is no warning / error popup to say font is missing when opening the drawing and Myriad Pro IS an available font option to select on the dropdown list.
  6. If I select the dimensions and change to another dim style with different font, then will display OK.
  7. The is no SHX Myriad Pro file installed, but from what I read, that should not matter as you just need the TTF font file installed to work.

Much appreciated if anyone knows what the problem is here thanks.

Your screenshots just look like you have the wrong annotative scale selected in that viewport, not much else, unless your '2' text height is also the problem.
Care to share your DWG file? Use ETRANSMIT command so your font and everything else is also captured.

Hi,

Many thanks for your quick reply, I'm not using viewports in this drawing happening in model space.

I've attached a drawing using ETRANSMIT if helps (Saved from CAD 2015). The transmit report say Myriad Pro was excluded, don't know why. cheers

That may ultimately be your problem: its a purchased font that requires you to pay for every PC installation to use it. Find out more from your IT or purchasing manager, not much you can do about it as an end user: if that person is you, then whip out your credit card, go back to that Font-Purchasing site and buy a license for your other computer.

Everything looks fine here

I don't think its that simple - I do have Myriad Pro ttf font installed on both my machines. It is not a special font, just Myriad Pro which comes built into Windows OS - So AutoCAD should pick up the ttf font from the OS.

Also I should say it WAS working for a time a couple weeks ago (I actually setup this dim style in 2022 LT with Myriad Pro), but when I saved and reopened later, the same file had stopped displaying this font for unknown reason - Nothing changed to my OS font situation in this time. I just saved/closed/opened file and it vanished.   Where would I go in CAD to check if the font is really installed and test that is been picked up by AC LT?

I am very new to CAD 2022 LT, so I just assumed it must relate to setting or glitch I don't know about yet, whereas I never have issue like this with CAD 2015 LT before.

Thanks

Except for added and changed commands, LT2015 works the same way as LT2022.
If your font is free, you should be able to add it to that ZIP file manually then repost.

In the meantime... what changed with your setup that broke what was working just fine? I am unable to recreate your screenshots by simply opening your file in LT2022.1.2, and your dimstyle and text style are not annotative per my earlier guess to the issue.

Open STYLE command, is that style in use in the DIMSTYLE still defined correctly in that file?

Not sure just looks like this in STYLE. The odd thing is in the preview window the font goes tiny in the corner compared to other font previews...

Wrong/different TTF file installed in Windows?
If there another similarly named TTF somewhere else in LT2022's search path?

Yeah, you have something going on outside of AutoCAD for sure. You'll have to reach out to Autodesk Support so they can go into your system to dig around

Thanks for your efforts, I'll see if I can get anywhere with Autodesk support.

Cheers
