MTEXT unresponsive

Tried numerous ways based on articles to correct an issue with MTEXT. I cannot create new text or edit existing. Scheduled 2 calls with AutoDesk but have never received scheduled call back.

Any help is most welcome.

What happens when you try to create or edit mtext and what have you tried?  Can you also post a sample dwg file with some mtext you can't edit?

This shows up on command line:

TEXTEDIT
Current settings: Edit mode = Multiple
Select an annotation object or [Undo/Mode]: Cannot find shell program

Don't know if this helps
