MTEXT mask offset tolerance

Hello,

Is there a way to reset the tolerances for the Mtext mask offset?

Previously I was able to set it to 1.2 , 1.5 etc.  but now it seems to insist on whole numbers and corrects my entries by rounding them up or down.

1 is too little and 2 is too much.

What magic variable has gone awry in the settings?

Thanks!

Strange behavior, but if you alter your UNITS precision that affects how the background mask offset is shown in the mtext dialogue. I say strange because the units settings normally are only considered to be how precision is shown and not how it is actually used, but in this case it does indeed only allow input as far as the precision level.

This is, of course, presuming that you have your units set to show no decimal places.

Many thanks!

I was using a new document template set up by someone else and had no idea that the UNITS would be affected like that.

I'll know next time!
