Move multiple points (vertex) at once

Hi all.

I'm pretty new to Autocad and looking for some help

I designed a drawer (top view) and would like to make the width of the drawer another size, is there a way I can select multiple points and move it to the new width (similar to the direct selection tool in Adobe Illustrator) instead of selecting each vertex and move it.

Thanks

Welcome to the Forums

When you select your drawer look for the grip which looks like a blue rectangle, it's usually in between two blue squares. The rectangle is the mid point grip and you can stretch your drawer using that and the two corner grips (squares) will tag along

Thanks for your reply.

The STRETCH command only moves that line i have my courser over it, all other lines stay in place.

Since all of your lines are connected (that's why they all highlight when you pick them), are you then just looking for MOVE command?

Otherwise explain in more detail what you are trying to do exactly please when you get a chance.

Sorry for my bad explanation.

Please see the image, I want to resize my drawing and move all the lines from the right side I highlighted to the left a few mm and would like to move all the lines at once so my drawer will become narrower.

Thanks much.

Thanks for the new image: that would be a STRETCH command function (using a crossing window, not the hard way with grips/blue dots selection) if your intent is to make both white and green boxes narrower but still maintain the end/corner conditions intact.

See this video for what I mean https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_qYnSOzb50 or this written page with images https://autocadtips1.com/2011/06/06/how-to-use-stretch/

Hi,

Select individual vertex points while pressing ctrl. They should turn red. Then click on one and move it (don't use move command).

This is how i move viewports.
