Monochrome paperspace viewport is pixelated - need high resolution

Dear fellow AutoCAD users,

At work we use screenshots for production task lists. These screenshots require black objects on a white background. To do this, our drawings feature a monochrome paperspace tab. (model space is run with a black background) Screenshots are made using "greenshot", a screen capturing software. The outcome is rather pixelated, making images useless. See settings and screenshot below.

The workaround is to switch modelspace to a white background, make a screenshot and revert back to a black background. Having to do this 20 times a day is just plain cumbersome.

Long question short: how can we generate high resolution screenshots of a monochome paper space tab? Looking forward to reading useful suggestions. Thanks!

2022.1.5 is the latest version you should be using so you should at least update to that version which may make it possible for you to run the Gfxdx12 command.

Just upgraded to 2022.1.5 and the Gfxdx12 command is not present. Could it be I need to install an extra package (like for example Express Tools) to get this command to work?

It should be there with the base install.

EDIT: I expected the command to work by just typing GFX. Well that didn't work as there is no shortcut. Typing the full command made it work. Sweet. Now back to getting the paperspace monochrome resolution issue sorted. :slightly_smiling_face:

Finally. Ok after setting Gfxdx12 to 0 and did you exit and restart AutoCAD?

Now enter command GraphicsConfig, do a screenshot and share that here.

Here you go - this was after restarting AutoCAD.

Again a screenshot of the full AutoCAD screen and the monochrome paperspace tab (see below). No different than before so still too low a resolution.

* EDIT * running the highest possible resolution, which is 1920x1028.

This is very strange because after setting Gfxdx12 to 0 and exit and restart AutoCAD the GraphicsConfig window in the upper right hand corner next to Virtual Device  should no longer show Directx12 but Directx11
As an alternative to your screen capturing tool have you tried Windows builtin Snipping Tool?

@Zgurkogel Here are the ways to open a support case with Autodesk if you are on subscription to seek out Autodesk Support's help:

Do so now.

Maybe it's your pdf quality/DPI settings?
Check if these are high enough

Settings look fine to me. It's the screen resolution that seems messed up. Whatever I try, the monochrome paperspace viewport resembles an ancient VGA monitor. Going with @pendean's advice and contact support. Haven't got round to doing that yet.
