Try visibility graphic override. press VV, and see anything that you turn off.

You have to have a viewport in a layout to see the modelspace content: it also needs to be turned on.

Which is it?

HI @Anonymous,

Unable to see the attachment.

What AutoCAD release are you working in?

Windows system? 7, 8, 10?

Multiple files having this issue or only 1?

Fix the file, or replace the layout. Stop wasting time with one single file my friend.

RECOVER and AUDIT commands to fix the file.
You can also INSERT the problem file into a working file and create a new layout.

Hi @Anonymous,

I would suggest trying to run through the following file clean up steps. If you are still having an issue let me know I still do not see the file attached here in the thread. If you are having trouble doing that I can create a box account for you to upload it too.

  1. Run RECOVERALL, at the command line and select drawing, save drawing and close.
  2. Run RECOVER, at the command line and select drawing.
  3. (-)PURGE > Regapps > Enter>No
  4. (-)PURGE>ALL> Enter>No
  5. AUDIT> Yes
  6. PURGE > Select Purge nested items> Select Automatically purge orphaned data > Purge All
  7. (-)SCALESEDIT
  8. CTRL+A > OVERKILL (Warning: use this command with caution, running the command modifies your geometry by deleting objects you may need.
  9. Save a copy of the original file in case of any unwanted changes. )
  10. Close and Save newly purged file (ex. CLEANED_file)
  11. Apply workflow.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi @Anonymous,

I suggest that you open a new drawing and copy/paste your model into the new one. Then run Audit and Purge to make sure that it is clean.

Please post your results.

Please select the Accept as Solution button if my post fully solves your issue or answers your question.

Hi @Anonymous,

Following up on this thread, I haven't seen any movement back on this thread,  were able to try the suggested steps.

My co-worker did a reset to defaults and was able to clear the issue. I would suggest trying that as well if you are still experiencing the issue.

Post back in the thread if you have any other questions. Happy to help.

Hi

I pulled back after copping some online abuse from Autodesk members who called me a time waster and other things.

Sincerely,

Steve

The advice given was to fix the file or replace the layout instead of spending time trying to figure out what is wrong with something that cannot be fixed.

You may have misread and misunderstood that one word in the reply: there was nothing else meant in that reply and it was not a personal attack.

And I'm not "Autodesk", just an end user like you.

Hope you followed all the advice given and are not still trying to fix this one issue.
