Missing command bar

Don't ask how I did it but one minute it was there the next it wasn't.I feel like I've tried everything to get it back but the closest I have achieved is positioning the text window behind my drawing and minimizing both screens-this also keeps disapearing and is very frustating.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Jo Vaughan

vaughanj,

Have you tried increasing your screen resolution?
The command line never really leaves the screen, actually it just tends to get shoved way over to the side and increasing the resolution may make it visable on the edge. Then you can drag it back and redock it.

I just had the same problem. The command bar is gone, and I can't find it to redock.

Well,

I am having the same problem. I can't see the command bar, and I have been looking for it but still can't see it.
If somebody could assist me, I will be grateful !

Have any of you tried holding 'Ctrl' and pressing '9' ?

this normally brings up the command bar .

Did you recently change from a dual screen setup?
Or are you on a laptop and the last time you saw it you were tied to an external monitor?

Likewise.  The Command Bar is completely invisible.  Neither ctrl-9 and f2 work, nor restarting, or COMMANDLINE, and it's not dragged off the screen, not dual monitors.  It spontaneously disappeared; I was cutting and pasting between dwgs at the time.  F2 will show the command history, popping up from where my undocked command bar was before vanishing.  Between that and DYNamic input, I'm managing, but it would be nice to have it back.  Civil3D 2014.
