MIRRTEXT and Multileaders

OOPS! Suddently, the drawing we issued for bids has backwards text, but only in multileaders! If you mirror a multileader with the MIRRTEXT set to 0 (which is what it should be set to), then everything will be fine. But, if the MIRRTEXT variable changes to 1, the text in multileaders will become backwards even if the variable was set to 0 when you mirrored the multileaders. It doesn't happen with regular text. That's not right!

IMHO that likely has to do with a Multileader behaving somewhat like a Dynamic Block in that you can Stretch and move it as well as add Leaders that could be interpreted as invoking Visibility States.

This may be a bug that needs to be reported.

Can you write your steps down to create this?

Changing the Variable to 1 after the Mirror of an MLeader here in LT 2016 does not cause an issue with a previously Mirrored MLeader

HUH?

Are you wanting MIRRTEXT to retroactively correct Mleaders in LT2013? Or something else? May I ask why MIRRTEXT was ever set to 1 and no one noticed before the "bids" where issued?

If you use the stock blocks in MLEADER, MIRRTEXT=1 does indeed affect them and "regular text" here in LT2016 and I suspect in LT2013, so you must be talking about something else.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I've confirmed that this is a problem and will be logging this with the development team.

To clarify; I've only been able to reproduce the problem with Mleaders which have a block i.e., detail callout, circle, slot, etc., attached, not with MTEXT objects.

The only recommendation I can give as a solution at this time is to keep the MIRRTEXT variable set to 0 (zero).

I'd encourage one to leave additional feedback or inquiries regarding this issue with the Product Team.

Cheers!

Volker

I did not check for multi text only in the multi leader. I typically keep mirrtext=0, but somehow it got set to 1 causing an embarrassment for the issued sheet.
