Losing work because of autosave

An employee just said that she twice this morning had her drawing jump back to a few minutes prior when her autosave saves.  Not too big a deal, but she did lose a couple minutes of work each time.  Any ideas?  In the meantime I had her turn autosave off, but that doesn't seem like a solution, just a band-aid.

This happens to all files, or just this one?
Is the problem unique to today, or has it always happened? Might be worth restarting Windows if it just showed up today to see if the problem goes away.
Where are the DWG files stored exactly? Is the clock on the PC and the clock on the file-location device the same? Or is one ahead of the other?
How often is autosave set to activate?
Does the same thing happen if the user manually saves the file?
LT version is what?
WIndows OS version is what?

Autosave does not save the DWG, Autosave will not be related to it.
If you find an effect, go into it in more detail.
Does this happen whenever it is switched on?
Which command is used at the moment?

The only command who so that: Undo
Or working a time in BEDIT or REFEDIT and so on, and cancel or exit without saving.

HI @clymanPM2ES

A few questions for you:

  • Are these files saved locally or to a server
  • Have you double checked all file save paths?
  • Is this happening with multiple drawings?

Post back with any updates.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply.

Files are saved to a server.  I haven't confirmed that the file save paths are correct, but I did do the initial setup and they were correct at the time.  I also don't know if its happening on multiple drawings, but it is only one person.  The person having the problem was working on one file and had this happen twice in 10 minutes so I had her turn off the auto save until I could find a solution.

If it's just happening to one seat. Then something must have changed for her seat on some sort of level in AutoCAD or her system.

Let's see if we can narrow it down if you could have her test that file by saving locally and to see if the issue reoccurs.

If she has the time to test a few other drawings that would help as well.

Let me know. I'll try to do some additional testing on my side to see if I can reproduce the same problem.
