If you select a line and look at the properties palette every line has a different start z value and end z value.

Somehow they have been drawn as 3d probably because the circle isn't on Z=0. See the two images below

May I ask, why are you not looking at your 3D content in 3D to help you understand the results you are reporting?
As you can see, a bunch of your lines go far far away from the Z=0 plane for example.
