Layer Zero not showing in attribute blocks, or in Xref. in Model space.

Hi all, We are on Autocad Lt 2021. Our grid reference text in the round attribute blocks below, and text on an external Xref - green rectangles below have disappeared in our main drawing file. Text on both layers is on layer Zero. Layer Zero is on & thawed. However these both show correctly when xref-ed into another drawing.

This has us stumped, grateful for any assistance.

If the test is Annotative, add the appropriate scale.
