Layer Transparency

Hi, I am trying to adjust the transparency of a layer. However, that option is not appearing in the layer editor. Any advice?

Do you have that column turned off? right-click on the bar and find out

Unfortunately it's not an option. Options that I do see: Status, On, Freeze, Lock, etc. but no transparency
