A layer on a viewport is visible. All looks good, but this particular layer and only this one on only one viewport does not show up in Print Preview and does not print to pdf. Help.

How well are you aware that a layer that is totally visible can be set to never print in AutoCAD? Or it can have assigned to it an "invisible" override color when it prints in a viewport. You can investigate those too.
I didn't go deep enough and indeed, that layer, for some reason, was showing not to print. Silly me. Thanks.

But it doesn't matter "where" you change layerproperties, they are *global* in a file.
Model,Paper or floated mspace
Inside the layerproperties-manager, command: Layer
One column is PLOT, what means: Plot(able) yes/no

@jeffV5BW8 See the image below. The greyed out printer will not print. That's standard for the DEFPOINTS layer.
The two printers with the red symbol on them will not print. To toggle on or off you just need to click on the printer icon
