I was wondering if there was a way that when I create a new viewports the scale and lock status would appear.  Without having to start mtext adding the fields, setting the layer and colors to use?  I have never created or used macros or scripts in Autocad LT.  I have only created it once then just copy pasted where ever I needed.  I have seen videos in the past where someone copied the command lines they wanted to repeat in a macros.  I have forgotten where and what they did to accomplish this.  Thanks

@sdrisk8262 What does "yes" mean in your screenshot of your viewport please?

How do you create viewports now to a scale:

1) do you use the NEW sub-option in MVIEW command to create it to scale to your objects?

2) or randomly create a generic viewport then go inside it to pan and zoom, then back out to size it up?

3) or you create a name view in modelspace set to a CANNOSCALE setting then MVIEW's sub-option VIEW?
4) Do you use the system variable ANNOSCALEZOOM at all?

"scale and lock status"  mtext fields

random generic in paper space

I click the text in the bar not exactly sure what commands it uses:

viewport > 1

Size it, pan zoom to the area. Then I manual set the scale I want.

I use -vports on the layout tabs.

I am open if there is a better way.

if you're running LT 2024 which supports lisp then post your question in the lisp customization forum:
