Is there a way to bring everything on a layer to the front?

I have tried turning off all the other layers, selecting everything visible, invoking DRAWORDER, and selecting "front", but when I turn the other layers back on, some of them are still in front of what I want to be visible. It's a big document with a bazillion objects and 20+ layers; going through and selecting every one of them individually could take hours.

Sometimes you need to bring all other objects to the back as well as bring the objects you want to the front.

Additionally, you may need to "Refresh" (shorcut RE) as well to ensure the lines are layered properly in your viewport.

Have you tried QSELECT? It'll help you grab all the objects on a particular layer without turning the others off. Then you can run DRAWORDER.
