Hey Everyone, got a interesting problem here and hoping someone might have some insight. I'm a Deskside Technician in a corporate environment and we have a Windows 7 image we use on all our Lenovo PC's. I am currently having issues installing AutoCAD 2016 LT on the Lenovo M93p(10A9) series workstation. We are getting a Error 1324: The folder path 'My Documents' contains a invalid character. Our My Documents is pointed to a network share that has Dollar signs in the path. In an attempt to resolve the issue we redirected the path in the Registry(Shell folders, User Shell Folders) to a local folder on the C: Drive. Also disabled antivirus(TrendMicro) and a program called AppSense which is used for user profile settings retention and elevation of admin rights to applications in our enviroment. We still get the error. I have given my network profile local admin, removed all files from the %TEMP% folder and also ran the setup as ADMIN to no avail. The interesting part is if we take a previous verison PC(M93p - 10A8, M92p - 3209) and disable both Appsense and TrendMicro the app installed without issue. I have checked the registry shell folders on the legacy machines in relation to the 10A9 and confirmed both were identical. The versions of the Windows 7 image are identical, yet we can't install on the 10A9 model machine. The same Error 1324 shows in the Windows event log but doesn't have much to say on the matter. I am unsure of which autocad log to attach for troubleshooting so if there is a particular file that i can attach please let me know.
Also if there is something simple i missed please let me know too. Any ideas on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance 🙂
