Hello,
I am trying to install a student release of AutoCAD 2014 (Windows XP Professional 2002 with Service Pack 3.0).
I am able to run the 32 bit executable on my machine:
http://trial2.autodesk.com/SWDLDNET3/2014/ACD/DLM/AutoCAD_2014_English_Win_32bit_dlm.sfx.exe.
However, in the "Configure Installation" window, the entry for AutoCAD 2014 is dimmed out, and when I place the mouse over the the red warning signal (ø), the error message states "Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 Service Pack 1 or later was not detected on this computer. This browser is required for the product you are installing."
However, Internet Explorer 7.0 will not run on XP.
The Autodesk Education Community Support Team has now sent me to this forum :-|.
The setup log files are enclosed,
Any help appreciated,
Lyle
Unfortunately we are constrained to run XP on this machine.
Indeed, whether or not XP is "dead" or not, it appears that the information in
is not coherent (stating both that XP is ok, but IE7 is necessary).
As one solution, can an older version of AutoCAD be installed on XP?
Thanks,
Lyle
