Good morning

i was on the 2019 auto cad lite i work on traffic management plans to insert a map tile to work on i would normally click insert other then select the tile i wanted to insert to the model space and it would put the tile where it needed to be when i inserted the next tile it would automatically put it in the correct place next to the existing tile

i have now upgraded to the 2022 lite version and the option to insert the tile has gone i can only attach the tile but instead of placing the tile automatically it puts it in various different places in the model space so i have to zoom out to try and find them all any ideas please

these are the type of tilesthese are the type of tileshow to should inserthow to should insertthis is how they now insertthis is how they now insert

Are you sure the previous version that you were using was LT?

Is it still on your machine?

Rob

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Explain in a LOT more detail using command names (and command settings) How you "... click insert other then select the tile i wanted to insert to the model space..." in both programs please so we all can pull up LT2019 and LT2022 to follow along.

I suspect you forget to accept a default option, or as using two different commands now, assuming you did not forget a necessary other step first.

TIA

Hi Sorry for the delay in the reply I was in meetings
I don't use the command lines

So on the 2019 I done the following
On the tabs at the top of the screen I click the insert tab
Which brings up insert / edit attribute / create block etc
I click on the little arrow under the insert icon
[cid:[email protected]]

There used to be a option then at the bottom saying I think it was other from there it opened the folder with my files in it when I then select the tile it inserted it in to the model space

However on the 2022 version

I don't have the option to do it that way so I again click insert then blocks from libraries

[cid:[email protected]]

I click on this thing and it brings up the folder but when I insert it it puts it all over the model space even if I click specify insert point

You have to come to the website to post images and files.

From your words alone you appear that you're maybe NOT be using CLASSICINSERT command in R2022 that matches INSERT command from older versions: look up the WHAT'S NEW section of HELP in 2022 to explore more.
