in model space and program keeps automatically zooming to extents

I am working in model space.  AutocadLT keeps zooming to extents automatically in model space.  I am working in a zoomed in area and it automatically zooms me out to whole drawing.  It happens every couple of minutes.

I looked in the command line and it shows '_.zoom  and then _e.    I thought maybe a key was stuck or something, but it is starting to slowly drive me insane.

Is there some setting that would be causing this?

Can you copy and paste several lines above the zoom extents from the command line? Maybe we can get more information there.

Does it always happen after you use a specific command or just for any random command?

Cheers,

Does this happen when you are holding down the scroll wheel to pan? If so it may be that your mouse is going bad and autocad is recognizing a double click of the wheel when you hold it down to pan.

Turn off UCSFOLLOW variable and see if that helps: usage explained in HELP.

I have same problem..

It shows like this..

Command: '_.zoom
Specify corner of window, enter a scale factor (nX or nXP), or
[All/Center/Dynamic/Extents/Previous/Scale/Window/Object] <real time>: _e

When I try to zoom in by scrolling up (scroll couple or more times), it zooms out to extent.

If it is zooming to extents, your scroll wheel may be too sensitive, replace the mouse and try again after you check the mouse driver to ensure the scroll wheel button is set correctly to just SCROLL WHEEL setting.

Does anyone else have a solution for this? It looks like the fix was to change the mouse, but I am on number 3 and still no luck resolving the issue.

Thanks.

Here is how to open a support case with Autodesk if you are on subscription to seek out Autodesk Support's help, schedule an appt and a call back, let them have access to your system and files, perhaps they can find something if it is AutoCAD related and not hardware (they cannot fix the latter):
