How to set Paperspace viewports to display objects below or above an elevation?

Hi,

I have 2018 AutoCAD LT. Working with a 3D drawing that has objects that span between multiple floors of a building.

I am trying to create a viewport on paperspace that views objects only below or above a certain elevation. That way I can display in a viewport only object between each floor.

Is this possible with AutoCAD LT?

Thanks

Currently my only option that I can think of is setting layers to the objects of within that floor and turning them on off.

Put each level on its own named layer, and turn off unnecessary layers would be your easiest option if your layer structure allows for that.

Thanks for the reply.

Only problem is these drawings may need to be shared between disciplines and that could create havoc removing objects from their original layer. Which is why I posted here..

Hoping there is a command to adjust the elevation view of a viewport, that way all layers and objects can remain unaffected.

Can you post the dwg file?

you can only isolate items by layer in viewports: there is not other magic option. You can also make these objects as separate external files that are xref-ed, thus allowing users to go there instead to look at just these items.
How would you like to proceed?
