I do not like the new Block Palette, it is basically the same as the Design Center.  I would like to change back to the old way of inserting blocks.  Some one mentioned using classicinsert but I don't want to be typing that command out every time I insert a block.

The easiest way would be create your own keyboard shortcut to start the classicinsert command, do you know about the acadltpgp file? just add this line to the user commands at the end.

I, *CLASSICINSERT

This then overrules the insert command starting when you type the letter "I", I don't think you can get much simpler than that. Or just add the Classicinsert into a ribbon, menu, toolbar and replace the new insert, depending on where you would normally start the program.

PS if you use the acadlt.pgp don't forget to use 'reinit' or restart Autocad before it will take effect.
