how to publish multiple files all from paper space tabs

guys...i used to be able to do this now i can't anymore and it is driving me nuts.  so i open all my files, go to publish, then publish them....then go to the DWF viewer and they are all there but in color as opposed to the nifty ctb file i created with lineweights all in black and white.  what am i missing?  i tried the page setup thing a million times to no avail.  i made a new page setup in page setup manager, but when i went to publish it said the other files had errors finding the page setup i just created.  could someone PLEASE list ALL the steps needed to publish multiple drawings...preferably with the same ctb file into a dwf file?

The easiest way is to not worry about what layout setting each layout has. Just use page setup manager to create a new page setup in one drawing with all your plot settings in it. Now use the PUBLISH command and select all the drawings you want to plot. Highlight all the drawings in the list and pick the down arrow that appears under the page setup section. Pick import then go pick the drawing you just created the page setup in. Now select the imported setup and it will be applied to every highlighted drawing. Hit the publish button and away you go.

you're a genius thanks so much for the quick response!  not sure why it didn't work before...i kinda did it your way before but now i followed your protocol exactly and it worked.
